Rally Day rescheduled
Due to the inclement weather, this past Sunday, the Rally Day events at St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, had to be postponed. The celebration will now be held on Sunday, Sept. 4, at 9:15 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the church.
The children of the Sunday School will enjoy an all school craft and will receive their World Hunger banks. There are three children of the Sunday School who will be receiving their Bibles. They are Alexis Keiper, Daphnie Morris and Hager Rodgers.
Reunion committee meeting
The planning committee for the reunion of classes of 1955 through 1965, Jim Thorpe High School, will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m.
The meeting will be held at the Lion's Club pavilion in Normal Square. Those planning to attend, should bring whatever they wish to eat or drink.
