August 31, 1991 Brian Kennedy throws a pair of touchdown passes and also runs for a score to help Marian open its season with a 36-21 win over Wilkes-Barre Meyers. Both TD tosses, one from 34 yards out and the other a 17-yard strike, go to Mark Makovec, who finishes with 79 receiving yards and 56 rushing yards. Rich Miller carries 21 times for 102 yards and a touchdown while Chris Lewis returns a fumble 29 yards for another score.
