Feast Day Masses
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Dec. 8, is a Holy Day of Obligation for those of the Roman Catholic faith. Our Lady Queen of Peace will hold Mass at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7, and at 8 a.m., 12:10 p.m. and 7 p.m., on Dec. 8.
Knights meet
The Knights of Columbus of Our Lady Queen of Peace will meet at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 8, at the church, in McCawley Hall.
Santa to visit
Chestnuthill Township Park will host Santa Claus this weekend.
He is coming, probably via fire truck, Friday, Dec. 9, from 6-8 p.m.
Christmas puppets
A Christmas Puppet Show with the Good News Puppets will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10 at Countryside Alliance Church, Route 115 and Countryside Drive (across from Pleasant Valley Middle School), Brodheadsville.
There is no charge and the invitation is to come and bring your friends. Anyone with questions can call (570) 992-3315.
Choral presentation
"When Love Came Down" will be presented at Mount Eaton Church in Saylorsburg at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, and at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 11.
Knit and Crochet
Zion Lutheran Church's Knit and Crochet group will meet at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the church in Brodheadsville.
The group makes helmet liners, preemie caps, baby blankets and prayer shawls.
All Sports Club
The Pleasant Valley School District All-Sports Club will meet at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 13, in the high school library.
