McArdle's three lifts PV over Marian

The Panther Valley and Pleasant Valley boys picked up victories to highlight Saturday's scholastic basketball card.

Marian-Panther Valley

Nick McArdle hit the game-winning three-pointer with 14 seconds left to lift Panther Valley to a 36-35 victory over Marian in the consolation game of the PV Tip-Off Tournament.

The Panthers' Jake Szczecina hit four three-pointers to lead all scorers with a game-high 12 points.

Ryan Karnish paced the Colts with 10 points.

Nick Stanovick hit four three-pointers and scored a game-high 22 points to lead Pleasant Valley to a 49-45 non-league win over Wyoming Valley West.

The Bears (2-0) also got 10 points from Selwyn Wright.

Wilson-Northwestern

The Warriors routed Northwestern in the championship game of the Kutztown Cougar Tip Off Tournament.

Wilson (2-0) was led by Daye-Shawn Bailey scored 17 points for the winners, while Gerrald Terry chipped in 11.

The Warriors held Northwestern to just six made field goals in the game.

Christina Perles proved to be too dominant of an inside force, scoring a game-high 22 points to lead Lourdes Regional over Marian Catholic, 47-40, in the championship game of the Knights of Columbus Tournament.

Danielle Tristani's 16 points and Kelly Shober's 10 points led the Fillies.

The Lady Bulldogs routed Tulpehocken in the consolation game of the Fleetwood Tip-Off Tournament, 46-18.

Aimee Oertner led the way for the Bulldogs (1-1) and earned the tourney MVP status, as she reeled off 18 points. Teammate Christina Bastardi added 18.

For Tulpehocken, Megan Hess led the way with a team-high nine points.

Arden Cisluycis chipped in 11 for the Bears (1-1).

Chieffo hit five of six free throw attempts down the stretch to help Pleasant Valley hold off a Prep rally.
