Rear-end type crash in Schuylkill

State police at Frackville reported investigating a rear-end crash in Schuylkill County on Monday, Dec. 12.

Troopers said Mark O. Ambrose, 23, of Ashland, was operating a 2010 Toyota Prius eastbound on Main St., in Butler Township, about 3:50 p.m. when he failed to see a 2008 Hyundai Elantra slowing down in front of him.

His Toyota struck the rear of the Elantra, which was operated by Thomas K. Blakeslee, 62, of Lavelle, Schuylkill County.

Blakeslee sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention, troopers said. Ambrose was not injured.

Troopers cited Ambrose for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
