Palmerton driver facing DUI charge

A Palmerton driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI).

State police at Lehighton said Kelly A. Flowers, of Sunny Rest, was stopped about 9:56 p.m. along SR209 at SR248 in Franklin Township, Carbon County, on Tuesday, Dec. 13, for not having a tail lights on her 2005 Volkeswagon Passat lit.

She was found to be under the influence and was taken to the barracks for a breath test. The test revealed she was over the legal limit of .08 percent, troopers said.
