Thankful for visit to Carbon County

Dear Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Carbon County Economic Development Corporation for inviting me to speak at their recent annual meeting. The theme of "Building Economic Success Together" is one of the most important goals of all successful economic development organizations around the country.

The challenges we are facing today in a competitive global marketplace demands that we all work together to achieve success. I truly enjoyed meeting everyone who attended the event and I stand ready to assist my friends at the CCEDC any way I can in the future.

As a member of the Board of Directors of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, it was an honor to be able to visit the Jim Thorpe Memorial. 2013 represents the 50th anniversary of Jim Thorpe's induction into the first HOF class of football legends!

I want to thank CCEDC Director Dawn Ferrante and President Ron Tirpak and everyone in Carbon County for your wonderful hospitality and kindness. I also loved staying at the historic Inn at Jim Thorpe! Please accept my best wishes for the holidays and the New Year!
