Pine Grove man charged with DUI

Jared Joel Dinger, 19, of Pine Grove, has been arrested by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks with driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a traffic stop at 9:14 p.m. Dec. 16 on Rt. 443 in Washington Township, Schuylkill County.

Police said he was stopped for speeding after which time they detected an odor of alcohol on him. After failing a field sobriety test, Dinger was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center, Pottsville, for a blood test to determine his BAC.

In a related report, police said Khyle William Willis, 19, of Schuylkill Haven, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with underage drinking after police detected a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.
