Two from Hazleton nabbed in Monroe

Kristen April Martinez, 31, and Lloyd LeBlanc Jr., 43, both of Hazleton, have been arrested by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks on charges of receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 12:27 a.m. Dec. 18 on Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township.

Police said they initially stopped a vehicle for speeding, in which they were occupants, and learned the vehicle was stolen out of Mount Carmel and belonging to Janice and Robert Baniela of Mount Carmel.

Police said Martinez provided a false name to them. It was learned a warrant for her arrest on a retail theft charge in Hazleton was outstanding, resulting in her also being charged with making false reports and providing false information to pollice.
