Police charge man with retail theft

Pocono Mountain Regional Police charged Serhan Hayes, 32, of Tobyhanna, with retail theft after a shoplifting incident at 9:07 a.m. Dec. 17 at the Rite Aid Store in the Carriage Square Shopping Plaza, Tobyhanna.

Police said officers were advised Hayes was seen taking items out of the store without paying for them.
