(Trustees of Salem Evangelical Church of Tamaqua, due to merger became known as Salem United Methodist Church, due to the national denomination merger of the Evangelical United Brethren Church with The Methodist Church on April 23, 1968. The Tamaqua Church was discontinued on April 30, 2011 and its assets were turned over to the trustees of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church).
