DUI arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers recently.

On Saturday, Jan. 29, about 3:28 a.m. officers made a traffic stop along SR196 in Tobyhanna. The driver was identified as Oscar Arango, 30, of Tobyhanna.

He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was taken to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), East Stroudsburg, where he submitted to a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.

On Monday, Jan. 31, about 2:21 a.m. officers made a vehicle stop along SR611 at Burkes Tavern for a vehicle code violation. The driver was identified as Darryl Speicher, 49, of Cresco. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was taken to PMC for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.
