Tamaqua woman drunk in public

A Tamaqua woman has been cited after she was unable to make it home to use facilities.

Tamaqua Officer Thomas Rodgers was on patrol at 1:45 a.m. Jan. 13 when he observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway on Coal Street. As he approached the vehicle the officer observed a woman to the rear of 400 Spruce St. She pulled up her pants then jumped in to the stopped vehicle.

Rodgers identified her as Lorraine Shawn Bush, 39, of 400 Spruce St. Ms. Bush told the officer she had to go to the bathroom but was unable to make it into the house in time. She exhibited signs of intoxication and was cited for public drunkenness.
