Phony $20 bills circulating in area

Kidder Township police are alerting the public that several high quality counterfeit $20 bills were passed at a SR903 township business on or about Feb. 4.

Police added that the Mauch Chunk Trust Company branch bank in the township also reported receiving phony bills from several area businesses in the area.

Police said the distinguishing feature is the absense of the magnetic strip in the bills.
