Carbon man facing assault charge

A Carbon County man is facing a charge of simple assault following an incident that occurred about 4:25 p.m. on Feb. 3.

State police at Lehighton said troopers responded to 308 White St., Bowmanstown, at the time and date stated. Upon arrival troopers learned that Darren Skinner, 48, of East Stroudsburg, arrived at the residence above to conduct business. While at the home Jason Carl Koons, 28, of that address, he allegedly punched Skinner in the face with a closed fist.

Koons is also facing charges of harassment and disorderly conduct, troopers said.
