Crashes probed
State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating two crashes recently on Monroe County roadways.
A crash occurred about 1 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23, along Sugar Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Russell A. Winters III, 32, of Albrightsville, was driving a 2002 Ford Taurus westbound when the vehicle went onto the berm and down an embankment before striking a tree.
Winters was not injured.
The second crash occurred about 4:55 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25, along Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township. Troopers said Galo L. Balseca, 51, of Pocono Summit, was driving a 2003 Ford Econo Line 350 truck westbound when the vehicle spun around, traveled across the left shoulder and down the median, then rolled over.
Balseca was not injured.
