Endangering incident probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an incident of recklessly endangering that occurred in a Schuylkill County community.

Troopers said unknown persons placed several plastic two-liter bottles into the snow at 510 Market St., Auburn. Patricia Barker, 67, and Deborah Berk, 59, reside at the residence.

Troopers said the bottles contained a liquid chemical and common household item which when mixed, causes a loud "bang." Several of the bottles exploded while several did not.

The suspects then fled down an alleyway in the borough. The fleeing vehicle was described as a silver in color Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The incident occurred between 9:30 and 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23. No injuries were reported.

Troopers are also investigating an incident that occurred at the residence of Michelle Moraski, 39, of 495 Birds Hill Rd., in Pine Grove, Washington Township. Troopers said unknown persons fired an unknown type gun at two lamp post lamps smashing both of them in front of the residence. The incident occurred sometime between 4 p.m. Jan. 20 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 24.
