Slatington driver facing DUI count

A Slatington driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) after he drove his vehicle into the side of a building in his hometown.

Borough police said Kenneth Derr, 51, of 15 S. Seventh St., was cited following an incident that occurred about 2:51 a.m. on Jan. 11. Police said Derr's vehicle struck the building at 623 Main St. He was found to be under the influence and cited, police added.
