A vehicle stop in Monroe County has led to drug charges pending against a county resident.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers stopped a Chrysler Concord sedan about 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, along SR611 at the Tobyhanna Service Station in Tobyhanna, after observing it weaving back and forth. The operator was identified as Rachel Lloyd, 18, of Pocono Lake, and her passenger as Joshua Csikortos, 18, of Tobyhanna.

Officers smelled the odor of brunt marijuana eminating from the interior of the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that Csikortos was sitting on a clear plastic zip lock baggie containing marijuana. Officers also located another small baggie inside the vehicle containing marijuana stems, through a consent search.

Both Lloyd and Csikortos were placed under arrest. Lloy was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. Both Lloyd and Csikortos will have drug and related charges filed against them, police said.
