Woman facing theft count
A Slatington woman is facing a charge of retail theft following an incident that occurred about 8:06 p.m. on Dec. 4, 2010, at a borough business.
Borough police said Melinda Young, 28, of 543 W. Washington St., is charged for allegedly attempting to remove items from the Turkey Hill store at 610 Main St., without paying for them. The items totaled $16.99 in value, police said.
