Slatington resident facing charges
A Slatington resident is facing several charges following a vehicle stop at about 10:37 p.m. on Feb. 7.
Borough police said Wendy Louise Shirk, 53, of 22 Dowell St., was stopped at the intersection of S. Second St. and Center Ave., for failure to stop for a posted stop sign.
As a result of an investigation Shirk has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI), possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and the stop sign violation.
