Rear-end type crash on bridge

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a rear-end type crash that occurred about 8:10 a.m. on Feb. 9 on the Thomas McCall Bridge (SR209), at the intersection with SR248, in Weissport, Carbon County.

Troopers said Alana B. Craig, 30, of Woodbury, N.J., was driving a 2008 Nissan Rogue northbound when she stopped for traffic ahead of her. Her vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2002 Kia Rio operated by Donald J. Vito, 51, of Lehighton.

Vito sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention, troopers said. His passenger, Bonnie Vito, 55, and Craig were not injured.
