Shooting incident probed in Carbon

Weatherly police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the borough over the past weekend.

Police said a dozen rounds from two guns were fired at a home along Yeakle Street Sunday morning. Reportedly, police said the home was struck 17 times. The homeowners, Steve and Tara Barnic, and their three children, were not injured and were asleep when the shooting occurred.

Two other homes and a parked car were also struck by ricocheting bullets.

Police did not release any other details concerning the incident.
