Two women cited by Tamaqua police

Two Tamaqua women were cited Wednesday morning after being engaged in repeated altercations.

Police were dispatched to the area of the Family Dollar Store for a reported fight in progress. At the scene they found two women screaming at each other, while a male watched. The women were identified as Roxanne Counterman, 37, of 115 Coal St., and Mychal Beltrami, 25, of 29 E. Elm St. The women said they were fighting about the male, identified as Joseph Redner, of 29 E. Elm St. The parties agreed to go their separate ways.

About 10 minutes later police were dispatched to 221 Pine St. where the women were once again engaged in a fight. Both received citations for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
