Break-in at new home probed
State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a break-in at a new home construction site in Carbon County.
Troopers said the home is located at 17 Master Trail, in the Towamensing Trails development, Penn Forest Township. A front door was pried open to gain entry. Once inside the criminals removed a Dewalt chop bar stand, Hitachi nail gun, Dewalt impact gun, Bosh positive placement gun, two hoses, extension cords, two skill saws, lug bolts and cable saw case. Total estimated valued of the missing items were set at $3,235.
The incident occurred sometime between Feb. 11 and 14. Troopers declined to identify the victim, only to state it is a 38-year-old New Tripoli resident.
