Graduated, named to President's list
Manda Jean Smarr of Erie, daughter of Joe and Susan Smarr of Tuscarora, graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in December 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Photography. A dean's list student, she was named to the President's List for attaining a 4.0 grade point average and is a member of the National Technical Honor Society.
A member of the photo club "Light Works," she served as a tutor in photography and general subjects during her student days. Named Photo Student of the Quarter, her photos were dislplayed in two group galleries in Pittsburgh. Smarr's first solo gallery showing, "In Fine Print: A Photographic Journey," was held Dec. 4 at the Atrium of One Adams Place in Cranberry.
A 2007 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, she is the granddaughter of Teeny Rossochacy of Tuscarora, and Dorothy Smarr, formerly of Tuscarora.
