Anthracite LL
The Anthracite Little League (Summit Hill/Nesquehoning) will hold registration sessions at both the Summit Hill and Nesquehoning borough buildings on the following dates: Saturdays, Feb. 19 and March 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Methodist Charge
The schedule for the Coaldale/Summit Hill United Methodist Charge for Sunday, Feb. 20, is as follows:
Services will be held at 9 a.m. in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church and at 11 a.m. in the Coaldale United Methodist Charge. The Rev. Burgess Gordon, pastor, will officiate at both services. A free will offering will be taken for the Youth Conference.
Nesquehoning
UVO meeting
The Nesquehoning United Veterans Organization will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. at the VFW on East Center Street.
Democratic club
The Nesquehoning Democratic Club will meet on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. at the Nesquehoning Lions building for the purpose of signing petitions and supporting the candidates.
Lansford
Council meetings
The Lansford Borough Council will hold three committee meetings next week as follows:
Tuesday, Feb. 22 - Municipal Administration Committee, 6:30 p.m. in the borough office, 26 E. Patterson St.
Thursday, Feb. 24 - Parks and Recreation Committee, 6:30 p.m., and Community Development, Planning, Zoning and Ordinance Committee, 7:15 p.m., both in the community center.
Parish retreat
St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, is planning a parish retreat for Sunday through Tuesday, March 20-22. The days will consist of adoration, talks, evening Masses and confessions.
The retreat will be under the direction of the Sisters of the Reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Lansford Babe Ruth Baseball will be holding a reorganization meeting on Monday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post on West Ridge Street. All coaches and officers are urged to attend.
Lansford Little League will be holding a reorganization meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. at the Lansford American Legion Post. All coaches and officers are urged to attend.
