Four girls lauded as MVC basketball all-stars

Four local TIMES NEWS area athletes were recognized for their solid play this season by being named to the 2010-2011 Mountain Valley Conference All-Stars teams.

Lehighton's Jordyn Homyak earned herself a spot on the conference's First Team, while a pair of Pleasant Valley players Kelicia Harris and Kasey Meckes received spots on the Second Team.

Meghan Hardy completed the trio of players for the 2010-2010 MVC champion Bears by earning a spot on the Honorable Mention list.

PM West's Katie Schickling was named the conference's Most Valuable Player.
