Schuylkill driver facing DUI count

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one- vehicle crash that occurred about 9:17 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 1 Vaux Avenue in Tremont.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Nicholas W. Mindler, 25, of Tremont, was operating a 1996 Ford Ranger pickup truck when it struck car parked in front of the above address.

Mindler was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest. The DUI charge is pending test results, troopers said.
