Summit Hill driver cited in Tamaqua
A Summit Hill man has been cited by Tamaqua police after he apparently became impatient waiting for school buses.
Several school buses were parked on Orwigsburg Street at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 17 waiting to pick up students when a white Dodge Ram drove up on the sidewalk, passing the buses. From information provided officers determined the truck had been driven by Edward R. Geiger Jr., 36, of 43 E. Hazard St.
He was given citations for driving on the sidewalk and reckless driving.
