Cross country
The Tamaqua Cross Country Boosters will meet Jan. 18, at 7 p.m., in the senior high school cafeteria.
Anyone interested in supporting the teams is welcome to attend.
ACS Relay
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life for Tamaqua and surrounding communities will meet at 7 p.m. on Jan. 10, at the Lehigh Carbon Community College Morgan Center on Van Gelder Street.
This meeting is open to all past/current participants as well as anyone else interested in becoming involved.
Committee members will meet prior to the regular meeting, at 6:30 p.m. The meetings will be held in Room 104/105.
Bethany EC
The Rev. Kevin Roberts will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church. Nursery care is provided. Sunday school for all ages is held at 9:30 a.m.
Also on Sunday, a service will be held at the Tamaqua ABC Hi Rise, beginning at 6 p.m.
Activities for next week will include: Tuesday, prayer time at 8:30 a.m., Men's Fraternity meets at 6:30 p.m.; Wednesday, GriefShare, adult Bible study and Tamaqua Youth Ministry meet at 6:30 p.m.; Saturday, Musician rehearsal at 9 a.m., praise practice at 9:30 a.m.
Calvary UM
The Rev. Brian Reading will officiate at Sunday's 10:25 a.m. worship service in Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church. Sunday school classes meet at 9:15 a.m.
Also on Sunday, the Youth Group will meet at 2 p.m. All youth between the ages of 8 and 12 are welcome to attend.
Zion Lewistown
The Rev. Sunny Stock will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service Sunday in Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Also on Sunday, the Confirmation class will meet at noon and the Consistory will meet at 6 p.m.
The Women's Guild will meet Monday, at 7 p.m., in the social hall.
Chris Hafer will lead a Bible study session Wednesday, at 7 p.m., at Christ Church, McKeansburg.
