Schuylkill crash
No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 2:25 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, along Market St. (SR895), in Auburn, Schuylkill County.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Anastacio C. Rodriguez, 41, of Auburn, was driving a 2004 Cadillac CTS westbound and just negotiated a left curve when he lost control due to snow on the road. The car traveled across the double yellow line and into the eastbound lane. It then went onto the berm and struck a road sign with the right front. After impacting the sign the car collided with a railing along the left side of concrete steps to a bridge.
Albert Rodriguez, 20, same address, was a passenger in the vehicle. The car had to be towed from the scene.
Troopers cited Rodriguez for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
