Moderate damages in Tamaqua crash

A 1993 Ford ranger received moderate damage when it collided with a tractor trailer in Tamaqua on Wednesday.

Michael Bachert of Tamaqua was operating the Ranger at 12:30 p.m., pulling out from a parking space in front of 121 Center St., Tamaqua. Traffic had been stopped for the red light at Spruce and Center and had just started moving.

Bachert pulled out into the path of a 1990 Peterbilt tractor-trailer unit, operated by John O'Rourke of New Jersey.

There were no injuries.
