Two cited for harassment

Two Schuylkill County residents were cited for harassment following an incident that occurred on Friday, Jan. 7, about 3:15 p.m.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Anthony J. Richardson, 21, and Sarah J. Lenker, 18, both of Tower City, were at 342 Dietrich Ave., Porter Township, where they became involved in a verbal argument over food. The argument turned physical when Lenker pushed Richardson in the kitchen and then Richardson pushed Lenker into a refrigerator. Richardson then spit in the face of Lenker.

Troopers said Lenker then struck Lisa Weiss, 42, of that address, in the chest in an upstairs hallway when she was asked to leave by Weiss. Richardson and Lenker was cited and released.

Troopers are also investigating a harassment incident reported at the Goodfella's Cafe in Mount Carbon. Troopers said a physical altercation occurred inside the bar involving numerous individuals about 10 p.m. After the altercation had broken up Timothy McGeever, 29, of Pottsville, was walking toward a stool in the bar when a female approached him from behind and struck him in the side of the head with a cellular telephone. After several minutes, the female suspect left the bar.
