Heritage Hill woman celebrating 93 years

Stephanie Ann Palko, a resident at Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, is celebrating her 93rd birthday on Jan. 17.

Born in 1918 in Plainfield, N.J., Stephanie also resided in Perth Amboy and Edison, N.J. Stephanie was married to her loving husband, Michael "Mickey" Palko for 30 years until his passing. She is the proud mother of three children, Barbara Davis of New Jersey and Stuart, Fla.; George Sawicki of Jim Thorpe; and Michael Palko of Florida. She is also the proud grandmother of five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

For 40 years Stephanie was a head banquet waitress at the Pines Manor and Sheraton in New Jersey. She is an excellent cook, especially when it comes to ethnic foods; and she enjoys sewing. She is a member of St. Francis Cathedral.

Over the years Stephanie has traveled to Hawaii, Europe, New England, Texas, and Minnesota. A party will be held in her honor at Heritage Hill.
