DUI arrests
State police at Lehighton reported on two arrests for driving under the influence (DUI).
On Sunday, Jan. 16, troopers said Michael Hoffman, 31, of Lehighton, was stopped along SR248 in Franklin Township, Carbon County, for traffic violations. He was found to be under the influence with charges pending, troopers said. A time of the stop was not listed on the police report.
Also on Sunday, about 5:30 p.m., troopers stopped Benjamin D. Golub, 21, of Neptune, N.J., along SR209 at Preachers Camp Road, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence with charges to be filed, troopers added.
