Garbage truck strikes car in Coaldale
Coaldale Police Chief Tim Delaney on Wednesday provided details of a recent accident involving a trash truck.
A car driven by a male juvenile on his way to school at 7:23 a.m. Monday was turning right onto Route 209 when a Tamaqua Transfer and Recycling truck, facing east and driven by Daniel Robert Miller, Andreas, backed up and struck the car.
The car sustained extensive damage and had to be towed, but there were no injuries.
Officer Charles Blesse was driving behind the car and saw the accident happen, Delaney said.
