Carbon crash

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 16, along Behrens Road in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Andrezej Jozwiak, 36, of Effort, was driving a 2001 BMW eastbound and approaching the intersection with Mountain View Road, when he lost control after attempting to negotiate a right curve. The car then left the road and struck a bridge abutment with the front front corner. The car came to rest at the point of impact, troopers said.

Jozwiak was not injured. Troopers said he was cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
