Schuylkill jail for violating PFA order
A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Sunday, Jan. 23, for violating a protection from abuse (PFA) order.
State police at Frackville said troopers were dispatched to 81 Valley St., Apartment 4, New Philadelphia, about 8:30 a.m. for a report of an argument. At the scene troopers found Douglas Downey Sr., of 110 Jackson St., Port Carbon, in the apartment of Suzette Marie Frantz. Frantz had a PFA order against Downey.
He was taken into custody and arraigned before duty District Judge James Reilly, of Pottsville, and committed to the county prison after failing to post bail.
