Teen cited for DUI of drugs
A Carbon County teen is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) of a controlled substance.
State police at Lehighton said troopers stopped a 16-year-old male from Lehighton operating a 2000 Ford vehicle along SR248 eastbound at Parryville about 10:16 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25, for a equipment violation.
Troopers said the driver and his 15-year-old male passenger were in possession of illegal drugs. Also, troopers said, the driver was under the influence of drugs. Both will be charged.
