Three arrested for Schuylkill break-in

Three persons were arrested and charged in connection with a burglary at a Schuylkill County business and entry to a vehicle at another business loacated nearby.

State police at Frackville identified the three as Edward Reeves, 30, of Mahanoy City, Christopher Buck, 25, and Kristen Kranch, 24, both of Shenandoah.

The three are accused of entering Auto Diesel Electric firm at 1 Starter Drive, West Mahanoy Township, overnight of Dec. 10-11, 2010. In the entry the three are alleged to have taken various electronics and other items valued at about $10,670 and caused damages of $1,050.

Troopers said Reeves and Buck entered the building while Kranch operated the get-away vehicle.

The three are also accused of entering a vehicle parked to the rear of the Canteen Vending Services, located at 17 Starter Drive, the same night and removing various food items valued at $42 and causing about $8 in damages.

Reeves and Bucks were charged in conjunction with the break-in and vehicle entry with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal conspiracy-burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, criminal conspiracy-theft, criminal mischief, theft from a motor vehicle, criminal conspiracy-theft from a motor vehicle and criminal mischief.

Kranch is charged in the same two crimes with criminal conspiracy-burglary, criminal conspiracy-theft, criminal conspiracy-theft from a motor vehicle.

Reeves and Kranch were arraigned before Senior District Judge Elizabeth Romig, of Frackville. Reeves was committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $25,000 straight cash bail. Kranch was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

Buck was arraigned before District Judge James Reiley, of Pottsville, and committed to the county jail after failing to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
