Passenger cited for having drugs

Jowil Charles, 18, of Salt Lake City, Utah, was arrested by Pocono Mountain Regional Police on June 27 for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said he was a passenger in a vehicle they stopped in Tobyhanna Township. After detecting an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, police conducted a search in which the drugs and related contraband were found to be in Charles' possession.
