Mahanoy City driver facing DUI

A Mahanoy City man is facing drunk driving related charges filed by Rush Township police.

Gregory A. Sperlbaum, 44, was stopped on Pine Creek Drive, at 11:55 p.m., on July 8. Officers detected signs of intoxication and transported Sperlbaum to the station for a portable breath test.

The results indicated a .169 blood alcohol content, more than twice the legal limit.
