Good start for FT
Franklin Township earned a win over Lansford in the Panther Valley 11-12 Little League tournament.
In a 9-10 game, Lansford also gained a victory, defeating Anthracite White.

Damian Mele pitched a strong game for Franklin Township, giving up six hits and three runs while striking out nine in a 7-3 win.
Noah Sensinger came in and shut down Lansford in two innings. He gave up only one hit and struck out two for the save.
T.J Buss had two doubles for the winners while Mele was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Ryan Andrews also was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a double, and Eli Dekorte had a pair of singles.
Lansford starter Anthony Michnlik took the loss but struck out six batters. He also went 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI, triple, and two runs scored. Teammate Jonathan Hafer also chipped in with a double.

Lansford beat Anthracite White 15-5 on Monday night in its first 9-10 year old Panther Valley Tournament game in Lansford.
An inside-the-park, two-run homer by Anthony Prudente ended the game in the fourth.
Tristan Blasko had two triples while Mason Goida, Wyatt Zimmerman and Bradley Buzzard each had one.
Blake Morgans, Carter Brettle, and Bryan Smith singled for Anthracite.
