Granted divorce

Tina L. Barton was granted a divorce from Daniel E. Nahodil, both of the village of Sacramento, Hubley Township. They were married Aug. 1, 2000.

Cheryl M. Kurtz was granted a divorce from Bardley S. Kurtz, both of Pine Grove. They were married May 16, 1998.

Angelina A. Etzweiler was granted a divorce from Terry L. Etzweiler, both of Pine Grove. They were married Sept. 9, 2006.

File for divorce

Amanda Kuhn, 696 Valley Road,Tamaqua, started a divorce action against Barry Kuhn, 268 Quamy Road, Kutztown. They were married Sept. 23, 2006.

Retirement fund

The Schuylkill County Employees Retirement Board, at its July meeting, reported the market value of the fund dropped from the previous month. The total value as of July 13 was $98,374,349.05.

Pleads guilty

Casey Woolson, 21, Saint Clair, entered a guilty plea to a charge of fleeing police and possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to serve three to 23 months in the county prison, pay a fine of $500 and court costs.

On a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in prison with the sentence to run concurrent, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement acccout, $50 to the Catastrophe fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center and a $50 monthly supervision fee for each month on probation.

On a charge of driving while his license was suspended was fined $200 plus $50 costs, failing to drive on right side of road, fined $25 plus $50 costs and careless driving, fined $25 plus $50 costs. Woolson was cited by Saint Clair Chief Michael J. Carey.
