The engagement of Amanda M. Strohl of Nesquehoning, to Michael J. Schaeffer of Laurys Station, has been announced by their parents.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Charles and Kathy Strohl of Nesquehoning. She is a graduate of Panther Valley High School and Northampton Community College. She is employed by the Lehigh Valley Health Network.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of James and Diane Schaeffer of Schnecksville. He is a graduate of Parkland High School, and is employed by Lehigh Valley Penn Sheet Metal.
The wedding is set for Aug. 18, 2012.
