JT Blue gets win

Jim Thorpe Blue posted a Little League victory on Tuesday.

9-10 year old

Jim Thorpe Blue defeated Towamensing 8-5 in a battle of undefeated teams in the Panther Valley Little League 9-10 year old tournament.

Towamensing jumped out to a 2-0 lead early, but Jim Thorpe scored three runs in the top of the fourth to take a 5-2 advantage and never trailed after that.

Zach Searfoss also went 3-for-4 at the plate and scored three runs for Jim Thorpe. Nick Rosahac chipped in with two hits.

Starting pitcher Trevor Hickey scattered six hits and Searfoss pitched well in relief for the winners.

Tanner Burnett and Eric Baumgardt each had two hits and two RBIs for Towamensing.
