The first annual Race Car Derby at Heritage Hill Senior Community had everyone's competitive spirits in high gear. It all began with a block of wood that each gentleman handcrafted into a fast fury on wheels. Participants offered special thanks to Weatherly Boy Scout Troop 007, whose members spent time helping to prepare for this event as well as providing the race track and system to highlight the standings on the big screen. With many cheering spectators on hand, the serious racers competed. First place winner was Anthony "Cookie" Alberto. Second place went to Robert Gall, while Charles Reis took third place. Here, Alan Knepper of Troop 007 helps Sam Chodur, of Heritage Hill, with his car.
