July 23, 1997 John Card knocks in eight runs with a single, double and grand slam to power Lansford to a 11-1 Panther Valley Little League tournament win over Beaver Banks. Card collects a two-run double in the first inning, slugs his grand slam in the second frame, and adds a two-run single in inning No. 3. The winners receive a double from Trevor Lawrence and an RBI single off the bat of Lyle Mantz while Trevor Krisak gets credit for the mound win.
