Heritage Hill woman is 92 years old

Agnes Josephine Kopec, a resident at Heritage Hill Senior Community, recently celebrated her 92nd birthday.

She was born on July 18, 1919 in Harwood, Pa. Agnes also resided in Treskow, Hazleton, West Hazleton and Weatherly. She was married to Peter Kopec in 1944 and they were married for 33 years until his passing in 1977.

Agnes worked as an examiner in Perfect Maid and Tony & Carmella's dress factories. She is a member of the ILGWU and Transfiguration church in West Hazleton.

Her hobbies over the years include bowling, cooking, baking, shopping and her involvement in her church and the senior citizens. She has traveled to Canada, Seattle, Florida and spent many years at the Jersey Shore. Agnes was honored at a birthday party at Heritage Hill.
